CLIP stands for CLIent Protocol, and MacFIBS version 4 is the first version to support this new messaging protocol with FIBS. The main advantages of CLIP is that the player status information (such as turning Ready on or off) stays much more up to date. CLIP is not available on the NOBS server, and MacFIBS will not work with NOBS currently because of this.
