NOBS (New Other Backgammon Server) is an alternate backgammon server written and supported by Lou Poppler. When FIBS is unavailable for some reason, players will switch to NOBS to feed their backgammon addiction.

The NOBS protocol is partially compatible with FIBS, however, NOBS does not function identically. In particular, MacFIBS 4 does not currently work with NOBS because NOBS does not support CLIP, however you should check the NOBS Web site for the latest information about MacFIBS compatibility with this server.
