Watching a match
Watching other people's matches is a common activity on FIBS. It is a good way to improve your game by observing more experienced players. When you watch a match, you are considered a participant in the match because you can kibitz with the players and other watchers. Participants are notified in the Chat window whenever a new watcher joins or leaves. MacFIBS provides several ways to start watching a match: (1) Select a player or a match in the Players window, and choose Watch <player> from the Player menu. (2) Select a player or match, and choose Watch <player> from the contextual menus (hold the Control key down to activate contextual menus.) (3) Drag/drop the player or match to the board. Stop watching To stop watching a match: (1) Choose Stop Watching (Cmd-U) from the Game menu. (2) Choose Stop Watching from the contextual menu on the Board window. If you start playing a match with another player, you will automatically stop watching as well. Related topics |
