Contextual menus
If you are running Mac OS 8.1 or later, you can use contextual menus in most MacFIBS windows. Holding the Control key while clicking in a window will pop up a menu under the mouse cursor, with commands specific to the item you clicked on. Contextual menus do not replace the standard menu bar, but offer a convenient shortcut for common commands. Here are some places MacFIBS provides contextual menus. This is not an exhaustive list: In the Player window, when you control click a player, the contextual menu allows you to invite (if the player is ready), watch (if the player is playing), chat, gag, or get info for that player. In the Terminal, Game Chat and Player Chat windows, the contextual menu allows you to clear out the text that has accumulated in the window. In the Terminal window, you can also enable or disable verbose messages and commands. In the Board window, the contextual menu allows you to refresh the board, stop watching, roll, double, resign, etc. (the menu options are different depending on whether you are watching or playing a match.) |
