Verbose
MacFIBS provides two Verbose options that control what text will appear in the Terminal window. Enabling or disabling these options do not change the behavior of MacFIBS, only what you see. Enable or disable these options in the Terminal section of Preferences. Verbose Commands When Verbose Commands are enabled, all commands sent by MacFIBS are shown in the Terminal window. When disabled, only commands you send specifically from the Terminal window will appear in the Terminal window's history. You do not need to see the commands being sent, but some people prefer to see them. If you are having problems with MacFIBS, enabling Verbose Commands sometimes provide troubleshooting help. Verbose Messages When Verbose Messages is enabled, all messages received from the FIBS server are displayed in the Terminal window, in their original form. Turning Verbose Messages off greatly reduces clutter in the Terminal window. When Verbose Messages are off, many types of messages are not displayed, including game-play messages, chat (kibitz, shout, etc.), and so on. You do not need to see the extra messages with this option, but some people prefer to see them. If you are having problems with MacFIBS, enabling Verbose Messages often provides troubleshooting help. |
