Chatting is the general term for sending and receiving messages. FIBS supports five different types of chat: say, kibitz, tell, whisper, shout, and message.
Refer to the definition for each of these for more details.
Most chat messages are displayed in the main Chat window. Private chatting with another player appears in separate windows to help keep these messages grouped together.
