There is a problem though... it is a very DANGEROUS program.

I may never get another hour of work done again! If I put it on my computer at work, I may never sleep again!

Not to sound overly dramatic, but being able to play on fibs has opened a lot of doors for me since I'm paralyzed from a car accident. I can move my arms but not my hands, so not having to roll the dice and move the checkers allows me to play other people so much easier. Not to mention being able to play others that might be intimidated by a wheelchair. Most people are cool about it IRL but this way it's never an issue.

After reading the MacFIBS help information I decided to drop you a few lines. First of all, thank you very much for writing such a wonderful program. Aside from being an excellent backgammon program, it is one of the nicest shareware programs I have ever used. It is simple to learn, user friendly and it provides incredible graphics. I have only been using the FIBS for a week now and I can guarantee that without your program I would have stopped after the first time.

As I've told you before, I think MacFIBS is an excellent implementation of the Mac environment - it plays naturally and stays pretty much in the background, allowing the user to concentrate on what is important - backgammon.

MacFIBS is terrific, you've earned yourself a lot of good karma for creating it. I have mild double vision (like seeing ghost images) that made the UNIX interface a horror for me, enough so I had stopped playing. In fact, part of the reason I finally moved up to a color Mac [if you call an LCII moving up :-)] was so I could finally use MacFIBS and play again.

And I get chance to use PC at my work..... I download Fibs/W..... ohhhh my god It is a Mickey Mouse graphic !!!!! I can not understand people, how they can enjoy to play with such a graphic ????

Thought you might be interested to know that MacFIBS (and therefore you) is one of the main reasons I couldn't wait to get connected to the Net. My friend Mike Payne (BigMike),who you quote on your page, kept telling me about MacFIBS. When we finally got a local provider, I found that he was right.For people like me who like to play backgammon and have little opportunity to do so, MacFIBS is absolutely fantastic.
