On this page, if you click on a game under the game header, you will go to the beginning of that game. If you click on a game under the moves header, you will see the list of moves for that game. You can then click on a move, and you will go to that move. This can be helpful if you leave in the middle of a game and wish to return where you left.

When you are at a position in a game, you will see the board diagram on the upper left. On the upper right, there will be a list of candidate moves (assuming the play isn't forced or trivial). By moving the mouse cursor over these moves, you will see the board change to reflect what the position will look like if you choose that play. The comment at the bottom will also change, indicating a brief description of the pros and cons of that choice. If you prefer, you can click on one of the moves, and you will get a full screen picture of that move. Also if you click on the "display moves", you get pictures of all the moves at once so you can compare them. To return from these pages, click on "original" to get back to where you were, or click on "equities" to see which move was made and the equities of the candidates. To get to the result of the play from the main move page, click on "next".

The followup page will have the move made, and the equities of the various candidates. These equities are from a Jellyfish rollout, 1296 trials, truncated after 7 moves. They won't always be accurate, of course, but they are usually a good indication. The move actually made will be in red, and the new board diagram will represent the position after the move has been made. Once again, you can look and see what the other candidates would have looked like by clicking on the move. To go on the the next move, click on next.

For those of you with high internet connect costs, there is a way to view the match (or parts of it) offline at your leisure. Let's suppose you wish to go through game #1. Get to the start of the game. Then, click on the next button (making sure each page loads fully) until you reach the end of the game. Disconnect from the internet, but keep your web browser window open! As long as the window remains open, you will be able to replay the match offline at your leisure.
